      BGSU Votes is an organization on the campus of Bowling Green State University that caters to making students and staff aware of the importance of voting in elections. They provide non-partisan information about issues and candidates for the appropriate elections, and also provide resources about voting-related events and frequently asked voter questions. Jen, along with five of her classmates created a two-day event on the campus of BGSU on behalf of BGSU Votes for their service learning project. This event included an informational booth that students could visit in order to learn more about the state of Ohio issues that were being contested on the November 3, 2015 ballot. This booth also allowed students to become registered voters in the state of Ohio. The events took place on October 1, 2015 and October 5, 2015, totalling approxiamtely 12 hours of service for the event days. Jen and her classmates registered 158 new voters and passed out 154 informational flyers throughout these campus events. Jen had the following responsibilities throughout the project: - Main contact with the BGSU Votes supervisor throughout the entire project. - Answered any questions that students and staff had when they came to the informational booth. - Site supervisor for both event days. - Created two email templates to send out to registered voters on campus, reminding them of the state issues, the general election voting date, and any relatable voting events. - Produced a video of the events through Windows Movie Maker.       The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) is an annual event in which 1,800 cyclists from all over the country ride their bikes to specifc destinations on a designated route throughout Ohio for a week. At these destinations, the cyclists camp for one or two days before cycling their way to the next destination. The 2015 GOBA route began in Van Wert. From there, the cyclists rode to Defiance, Bowling Green, Port Clinton (optional), and Ottawa. Jennifer volunteered during their stay in Bowling Green, Ohio on June 24th and June 25th. Jen began her GOBA experience by attending all of the GOBA meetings starting in February 2015, for more experience on what it was like to plan a large event. From there, she assisted the GOBA co-town coordinator, Wendy Chambers, with day-of events.
