I have been Kelly's student at Gotham writer's workshop more than 3 times. Although Kelly's main occupation is writer, she is extremely talented as a teacher. Listening is her forte. This is a rare talent. She hears through the "noise" what the student is groping to say, and is able to rapidly feed it back and tell them how to express it more effectively. He students love her because she zeros in on what is positive and unique in what each student is trying to bring out. Columbia or another school should think about bringing her into their faculty. I also wish her good fortune in her career as a writer.

Tracked down lost newspaper articles, journals by a naturalist at the Museum of Natural History, and the fate of the man who ultimately killed the shark. Copy edited The Cynopsis, a daily e-newsletter for the television industry, circulation 50,000, in 2005-06; also served as Managing Editor for the harvard.net.news, published daily during Harvard’s Conference on the Internet and Society.
