The breadth and depth of knowledge that Laurence has when it comes to digital blows my mind. Whenever I came to Laurence with a query or problem, he'd have an answer - and usually a better one than I'd hoped for. Not only is Laurence helpful, he's a great teacher and is always happy to share knowledge and help others grow. In any meeting or crisis I've ever been in with Laurence, he's always a calm and clear head who acts swiftly to resolve things. On top of this, he's also a great writer and full of great ideas - and a lovely presence to have in any office.

I’ve worked with several digital editors during my time at Heat and I can honestly say that Laurence – despite being much younger than any of his predecessors – has impressed me the most with his work ethic, his managerial skills, his attention to detail, his focus, his creative thinking and his drive to succeed. Laurence tackles any task, challenge, target or problem head on with ease and strategic thinking. He is incredibly tenacious and ambitious and has proven himself refreshingly open to exploring new creative ways of working not just with heat but across several Bauer brands. He has consistently impressed clients in commercial meetings and has endless brilliant ideas that work seamlessly across content and commercial targets. He is a great manager – nurturing and mentoring his team across their own projects – and he is someone I know I can always rely on to come up with the goods and find a way to make things work. Whether it's been live-streamed content production - the ‘Big Night in’ with Lambrini and the National television Awards gave the heat audience a fully interactive live experience with blogs, vines, social content, live mini-tv shows (all of which proved incredibly successful and had huge impact for the clients) - Or ensuring campaigns like Heat Makes You Happy and Heat’s Twitter Awards became national talking points with huge levels of engagement and massive social reach. Not to mention the consistent smashing of targets for heatworld.com Laurence and the team maintained throughout 2014/15. Laurence is always switched on and never drops the ball for a second (even if it means he’s on the heat whats app at 2am making sure his team get the first ’50 shades of Grey’ trailer up before anyone else). He’s constantly thinking of great ideas that unlock future revenues and has an innate ability to immerse himself in and adapt to any brand.

Laurence is a fantastic digital editor who's skills and knowledge has grown rapidly over his time at Bauer. He is a focused, ambitious, hardworking professional and has been passionate and dedicated in driving the traffic and engagement of the sites he has managed. He has also become a strong people manager which is evidenced in a string of high performing individuals he has managed and developed.
