It is one of the oldest institutions of South Asia with a national heritage for being the Alma Mater of Founder of Pakistan; Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who received his secondary school education at SMI from 1887-1892.My duties and responsibilities as Assistant Director AQEC (Accreditation and Quality Enhancement Cell) include:1. Assisting with all activities undertaken by AQEC related to Institutional and Programmatic accreditation.2. Preparation of University-wide Portfolio Report. 3. Assisting in fulfillment of IPE (Institutional Performance Evaluation) standards developed by HEC-QAA (Higher Education Commission - Quality Assurance Agency).4. Monitoring Student Advisory Support System.5. Developing policies and procedures for Student Code of Conduct.6. Planning, developing and conducting student satisfaction surveys, alumni/employer surveys, etc. 7. Receiving students’ feedback on quality education.8. Evaluating and presenting reports of survey data.9. Any other projects related to quality assurance and institutional effectiveness. Show less

The Academy is a project of Iqra University that has grown phenomenally into a chain of 16 purpose-built campuses across Karachi since 2009. Registered with CIE, The Academy seeks to provide quality education of international standards bringing benefits to students, the community and the wider world. My duties and responsibilities in the capacity of "Librarian" at Main Campus included: 1. Planning, developing and managing acquisition of all library resources at Main Campus and all newly established branches of The Academy. 2. Classifying books as per DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) System. 3. Collaborating with teachers and specialists to design and implement lessons and units of instruction, assess student learning and instructional effectiveness. 4. Coordinating with branch librarians and providing assistance as and when required. 5. Planning and implementing Reading Improvement Program to enhance reading skills of students. 6. Developing library policies and procedures. 7. Working with the Teaching-Learning Unit (TLU) in reviewing course books for each session. 8. Planning and organizing World Book Day, Literature Week, and other reading/library related events as and when required. 9. Preparing students for Oxford Big Read book review contest. 10. Organizing in-house book fairs. Other responsibilities: 1. Served as a Marketing/Event Committee member mainly responsible for planning and organizing school wide extra-curricular activities, Open Day, Sports Day, Spring Festival and other grand events. 2.
