I am JoAnna Kolecka Nocun, English Professor at SSML, Scuola Superiore Per Mediatori Linguistici, private university in Pisa, Italy. I have been with this establishment since 2016, responsible for the fields of public speaking, general and business English, postgraduate master courses for import and export, supervising students' dissertation work, and for delivering private tutoring. I hold an M.A. in Social Psychology from the University of Warsaw, Poland, and Juris Doctor degree in legal studies from California State University, USA. I am bilingual since birth, my mother tongues being English and Polish. I am writing this letter to recognize Mr. Giacomo Di Ruvo. I had the pleasure and privilege of teaching and mentoring him for over two years. In the course of the study, Mr. Ruvo has impressed me with the ability to be articulate regarding difficult concepts and issues, his sensitivity to the nuances within various topics, and his passion for investigative research and creative expression- both inside and outside of the classroom. In January of 2020, Mr. Ruvo participated in a Public Speaking Project, pertaining to the importance of cross-cultural communication. Giacomo created his impressively eloquent speech entirely on his own and delivered it successfully, in the English language, in front of government dignitaries, school authorities, faculty, and the fellow student body.
