As an Internal Auditor with Crown Holdings, I have experience performing tests of Sarbanes-Oxley controls for U.S., Mexico, and Brazil. I also have experience performing monthly audits at various Crown facilities in North America. These audits involve tests of design and effectiveness of the following areas: financial reporting, inventory, sales, fixed assets, accounts payable, spare parts, payroll, information systems, and cash. Further, the audits involve the preparation of an audit report listing our findings and recommendations, in accordance with company policy and SOX. In addition to the completion of other various tasks and job responsibilities, I have experience in the role of trainer as well and am regarded as a valued member of the team from coworkers. Tax Preparer
-
Jan 2019 - Apr 2019
As a tax preparer for H&R Block, I was exposed to a variety of clients while organizing, analyzing, and preparing their personal tax information. I was expected to exercise due diligence while reviewing sensitive client information and trusted to do so. Further, it was a chance to expand my accounting knowledge to include both tax and audit experience. Experienced Associate
-
Sep 2016 - Aug 2018
As an Audit Associate at CohnReznick LLP, my job involves critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, team communication, being a liaison for the company, and some recruiting responsibilities among other skills. I have worked primarily in residential real estate but have also had experience in government audits, cost certifications, and other various areas of focus. CohnReznick is different from most accounting firms in that our employees are exposed to every part of the audit from an early stage. For example, in the 1.5 years I have worked here, I have been in charge of recording adjusting entries, performing all accounting procedures and work papers required to complete the audit, and have experience with financial statement preparation which we prepare for our clients as a courtesy. Outside of duties assigned as an employee, I have participated in numerous volunteer opportunities such as volunteering at Paul's Place in Pigtown, Baltimore. I have also been requested to participate in events to represent the firm such as university recruiting events. I strive to be an active member of the workforce and make a point to have strong rapport with as many co-workers as possible. Show less
