This project required the following tools: JavaScript, React, Redux and Ruby on Rails 2) I undertook the following research projects: • As the company decided to move away from Open Search Server (OSS) towards Elastic Search (ES) it became necessary to find a web crawler. I researched into possible candidates and narrowed it down to Apache Nutch and Scrapy (a Python based scraper). After comparing the pros and cons of both tools I decided Scrapy was much better suited for our needs. I was able to set up a scraper using Scrapy to crawl one of or websites as well as pipeline all its results to an Elastic Search Instance running on AWS EC2. • I was asked to look into the load testing capabilities of JMeter and if we could use it to simulate user behaviour. I researched the setup process for JMeter and how to create a test plan using it. For simulating user behaviour I integrated the web-driver (Selenium)-plugin into JMeter. I was also able to find recorders that would record simulated actions and create a corresponding test plan, thus saving us time. • I was asked to look into a tool call Ory Editor, a React-Redux based content editor. Our main objective was to determine whether or not it could be used as a console for an upcoming project. One of the requirements was to be able to export the end result of an editor as simple HTML. I was able to find a way to export the HTML using the react-dom/server package and Ory editor’s own HTML renderer. 3) I worked on the also worked as a developer on the AdvanceX project during which I resolved various issues and implemented new features to the AdvanceX App. This project required the following tools: JavaScript, React, Redux and Ruby on Rails Show less 1) I developed an internal tool named AdvanceX-Instances for the managing and creating various instances on the AdvanceX project. Worked as part of the Software Development team to make two web applications using ExtJS. The first one, called CIRA, was used for internally cataloguing and filtering marketing data. The second one, called NIA (New Item Alert), was created to allow client to register new item with us by uploading image and data pertaining to the items. The project involved a complete redesign of the UI as well as security implementations since this was a client facing app. I also help develop and… Show more Worked as part of the Software Development team to make two web applications using ExtJS.
