HPC is a lignite mine mouth power plant that provides a sustainable source of energy for both Lao PDR and Thailand. I work as a senior geotechnical engineer in the Geotechnical Analysis Section. My key responsibility is geotechnically sound stability assessments of life of mine (Mid-term and Short-term stages for Limestone Quarry and Coal Mine) using Limit Equilibrium Techniques (Deterministic and Probabilistic Stability Analysis) and Numerical Solutions (Finite-/Discrete-Element Codes) such as steady-state and saturated/unsaturated transient analyses, consolidation simulation, stress-deformation modeling, shear strength reduction method, and three-dimensional numerical modeling code for advanced geotechnical analysis to simulate the response of discontinuous media (jointed rock).
