My core responsibilities include: - Providing technical assistance to a local membership organisation, Zimbabwe Human Rights Association (ZimRights), in design, implementation, monitoring and reporting on Right to Peace project. It is a three-year project implemented in three provinces of Zimbabwe, focusing on promoting constructive engagement and dialogue between the citizens and decision-makers as well as strengthening local capacities and leadership for conflict transformation.- Providing technical advice to ZimRights on development of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework for the Right to Peace project- Providing capacity development to ZimRights in project management and coordination, advocacy, communications, monitoring & evaluation and financial sustainabilityDuring my time with ZimRights, I have further built my expertise in project management throughout the project cycle. This has included close accompaniment of the management of the Right to Peace project for quality assurance and intensive support to its monitoring and evaluation. I have also gotten a better understanding of the topics human rights, peace and conflict in the Zimbabwean context. Additionally, it has been extremely insightful to learn how a membership organisation with 250,000 members throughout the country conducts its operations. It has also been interesting to be part of ZimRights’ transition towards a more grassroots-driven organisation.
