My role here included:• Meeting with blue chip down to medium sized businesses to advise on how best to implement Basware’s software to improve aspects of their accounting purchase to pay processes. • Implementing and customising Basware's electronic purchase to pay solutions at all levels of the project life cycle, including taking on the technical lead role on several projects. • National and international projects ranging from day long change requests to long term multiple company roll outs. • Design and implementation of custom functionality using web(vb.net asp)/anyErp(xml)/dlls(c#/vb6)• Working with some of Basware’s newer saas hosted solutions More recently in addition to Basware's core EPP products I was chosen to work with smaller businesses with one of Basware’s new products Invoice Ready. This is a new saas product and has provided me with some interesting challenges. The work I have undertaken at Basware has led to me being able to greatly improve my soft skills such as customer facing communication, negotiation, and business awareness whilst still allowing me to gain new and keep sharp my existing technological skills (VB6 VB.NET ASP XML xpath SQL). The tasks I have worked on at Basware are for business of varying sizes from large to medium sized business and have been across a range of industries including financial services, public sector and recruitment among others. During these implementations I have built a fair knowledge of finance departments best practices and a working knowledge of accounts payable integration to several ERPs (ORACLE financials, PeopleSoft, JDE, Mentor, SAP, Baan) including integrating to multiple ERPs from one system.
