I had the pleasure of working with Saidi for a few years in Austin and she was not only a great coworker but also a fantastic person to be around in a small office. She gets the job done, and also puts some serious thought into the problem at hand, often bringing in nuance and information that was previously overlooked and can materially change the direction of a new feature. I'd work with her again in a heartbeat.

As a tech lead, I worked with Saidi (the product lead) for two years at Adia in Austin, TX. I want to highlight three core strengths that I appreciated as a tech lead: her drive to foster a highly collaborative work environment, her deep knowledge of the product, and her leadership and project management skills. Of all the engineering & product teams I've worked with, Adia's has been the most collaborative. I attribute that to Saidi's willingness to foster an environment where engineers can reach out to product with questions any time of day. Whether it be edge cases, requirement clarifications, or sharing additional ideas, Saidi ensures a flexible, agile culture that can adapt and make necessary requirement changes quickly to avoid engineers getting blocked. Additionally, she shielded the engineering team from interruptions by establishing a chain of communication for all support requests from operations and other parts of the company. This ensured that incidents which could be resolved by the product team or at the L3 support level were taken care of, which enabled engineering work to progress unhindered. Saidi has an extremely deep knowledge of the product, its strengths and weaknesses, its capabilities, and how to leverage its features to build new ones. She can identify dependencies and complications that arise from features interacting with one another, and plan accordingly. Most importantly, she is always more than willing to share her knowledge and expertise with team members. This results in a better user experience for customers and also prevents defects from materializing. Saidi also finds ways to accomplish urgent requests from the business without even changing the product, such as explaining to the stakeholder how they could use the product differently to accomplish their goal. This reduces unnecessary engineering work which would otherwise be required to accomplish the same thing. Saidi is a proactive and engaging leader. She is cognizant of upcoming deadlines, project milestones, engineering capacity, and critical paths, and she plans accordingly, while always maintaining full transparency with stakeholders so everyone is on the same page. She communicates proactively with other business leads when project timelines need to be adjusted and keeps the engineering team honest about their commitments and estimations. Saidi also measures team progress and conducts sprint retrospective meetings to continuously improve the agile development cycle. It has been an amazing experience working with Saidi over the past two years. Both our team's yearly manager feedback surveys showed that one of the primary reasons engineers and product team members loved working at Adia is the collaborative environment that Saidi fosters between the teams. I would 100% work with Saidi again in the future and I know that she will succeed anywhere she goes!
