Provide complete system design integration solutions for MPEGII Digital Broadcast Services, VOD, Rate Shaping and H264.Primary Customer Support Engineer for Harmonic Customers in the North East Region. Design of Digital Facilities, including all aspects of integration, site surveys, rack layout, equipment recommendations, equipment location and system layout design.Maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations of DiviCom-Harmonic equipment at various Customer sites.Responsible for training Customers on DiviCom-Harmonic equipment.Full knowledge of all aspects of MPEG-II compression using video/audio and data.Responsible for recommending bandwidth allocation for Customer Services and for allocation of Multiple Statistical Multiplexing.Responsible to work directly with Harmonic Engineering on VOD. Work with various Customers and act as the link between the Customer and Harmonic Engineering. Worked on the first Harmonic deployment of VOD and was the Harmonic Engineer onsite responsible to test, critique and evaluate the VOD progress at the Customer site. Currently working on the next generation VOD with Harmonic Engineering and again acting as the link between the Customer and Harmonic Engineering.Full knowledge of Passage Broadcast format. Worked directly with Sony, NDS, Comcast and Harmonic on the Passage concept.
