      Tokyo During doctor course, I have studied neutron stars* using a Japanese X-ray observatory onboard satellite (international collaboration including JAXA and NASA), in Makishima-Nakazawa laboratory in the University of Tokyo. Neutron Star: It is a condensed star. Its mass is about 1.4 times of the sun, but its radius is only 10 km. Some of them have a companion star, and absorbs gas from it. The gas is accelerated towards a neutron star, and becomes extremely hot, emitting X-ray. Show less
