As a member of the Organizing Committee, I performed following activities: archival research, selection, preparation and compilation of archival materials and making a narrative report related to John Updike’s visit to Belgrade in 1978 and his attendance at the 15th International Writers October Summit. From September 2017 I was an occasional external associate of the Conference. Within “Nušićijada” – a collage-like festival composed of variety of artistic forms which has been among the finest European festivals and bears the “Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe (EFFE)” label since 2015, I was managing the Competition for the Best Satirical Story. Along with leading and coordinating the Competition, I have been a part of the Jury along with two Serbian renowned intellectuals: a writer and literary critic and a journalist and a daily news editor. The important task was to shape the format of presenting the Competition and satire within the festival, and among its dozens of contents, to be well noted, well attended and well promoted in the media and visibility channels. I was also following the publishing process of the Collection of the best stories each year, with the main focus on the challenge of introducing the novelties, while keeping the consistency of the format. My job was to promote Serbian language and both the traditional and the modern Serbian cultural identity among Chinese students through various teaching methods.
