I hereby confirm that Øystein Myrmo has carried out ComputIT’s master student program which included a summer employment at ComputIT for 6 weeks in 2010 followed by his project and master’s thesis work at ComputIT, in close cooperation with the Department of Energy and Process Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), during the period from August 10th 2010 till June 12th 2011. ComputIT’s master student program offers a summer job, industry-relevant master’s thesis topics within ComputIT’s R&D activities, trained thesis advisors and office facilities to a few, highly motivated students enrolled in relevant M.Sc. university programs cooperating with ComputIT. Øystein Myrmo was enrolled in the M.Sc. study program Energy and Environmental Engineering at NTNU. During his stay at ComputIT, Øystein Myrmo worked on numerical modeling of boiling and heat transfer to LNG pools on water, including numerical simulations with the advanced industrial CFD code Kameleon FireEx KFX. His work has been of great importance for ComputIT with regard to the development and validation of models used for predictions of consequences from accidental LNG spills. We are very satisfied with Øystein’s work and the results he obtained. Furthermore, Øystein is pleasant to work with and always committed to doing a good job. I would therefore not hesitate to recommend him. Yours sincerely, Kjell Erik Rian, Dr. ing. Principal Specialist ComputIT AS

Working in the router team in AutoStore. The router software plans which bins will be delivered to which port in which order, optimises assignment of robots to jobs and routes robots to execute jobs and deliver bins to ports. The work involves optimizing C++ code for high throughput of bins in the AutoStore systems and implementing both new and existing algorithms in optimal ways. Working in the router team in AutoStore.
