Overview

For many years my friend and I have been undertaking adventures all around the world. We’ve broken world records and raised tens of thousands for charity. We’ve summited several mountains and together we’ve explored the four corners of the globe. But two years ago we became increasingly concerned about how our lifestyles were impacting the planet. We realised that all too often we were conducting these expeditions without any environmental considerations and didn’t have the foggiest idea about our carbon emissions. We decided that this needed to change, and after several months of research we decided to start up an initiative called Zero Impact Adventures. The initial concept was to demonstrate by example, that we could still travel the world and appreciate new cultures, whilst still remaining environmentally responsible and without leaving behind a huge carbon footprint. We believe that all travel can and should be carbon neutral; and where possible leave a positive influence on the environment. We are now creating an iOS app to measure the environmental consequences of your travel and are providing a selection of tools to help our community to achieve 'Zero Impact Adventures'.
