Overview

The Young People, Skills and Employability Team delivers a wide range of services, focusing on the participation of Hull young people in Employment, Education and Training. The teams focus encompasses: • A careers guidance service in schools, colleges and training providers across the local area (Connexions) • A dedicated team to support vulnerable young people back into employment, education and training (Connexions) • Independent Travel Training for young people with Special Education Needs / Disabilities (SEND) • Hull Karting • Careers and Enterprise Company activities (Enterprise Co-coordinator) • Local Authority and NHS work experience • >log on | move on> which is run in partnership with East Riding Council. • Supported Internships • Post 16 SEND Commissioning • Post 16 provision shaping and influencing • DfE reporting of Participation, NEET and Not Known’s The service team are also significantly involved in the delivery of city wide projects such as: • Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) • BBO (Building Better Opportunities) • Youth Hub
