Started in 2011, the Young India Fellowship (YIF) brings together bright young individuals who show exceptional intellectual ability and leadership potential from across India and the world, and grooms them to become socially conscious leaders and change-makers for the 21st century. Offered as Ashoka University’s flagship residential postgraduate diploma in liberal studies, the YIF is unlike any other graduate academic programme. At the YIF, we offer you an opportunity to understand the world better and engage with multidisciplinary perspectives. Fellows get access and exposure to diverse areas of study, research and practice within a year. Through the YIF, several Fellows have discovered their passion and many have switched their academic or professional trajectories. YIF Programme Highlights: - 20 Multidisciplinary Courses taught by renowned educators like Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Dwight Jaggard, Urvashi Butalia, Madhavi Menon and more. - Team-based Experiential Learning Module from a pool of 60+ live projects with organizations spread across diverse sectors, and the opportunity to create your own project, focused on solving a real-world problem. - Mentorship by alumni and stalwarts from industry and academia. - Critical Writing programme focused on learning how to think and write better. - Peer Learning amidst a diverse community of Fellows, who come from different academic, professional, socioeconomic and geographical backgrounds. - Multiple post-Fellowship Pathways, with 1900+ alumni pursuing careers across some of the world's most aspirational universities, corporate organizations, development sector institutions, government organizations and as entrepreneurs. - Upto 100% need-based Financial Aid, and no fee to apply.
