WHY THE 216? Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, 2:16 reads– “Pain that has not yet come is avoidable.” With this verse as our mantra, we invite you to join us for a class, and stay as a member of our community. Join Yoga 216 as we actively work to escape unnecessary mental and physical pain — at every age, at every level. YOGA 216 HAS A DIFFERENT APPROACH. The days of fighting for a spot, bumping into your neighbor during class, and hoping for some attention are over. Our classes are limited to 6 students or fewer, so each teacher has the time to help guide, adjust, and challenge your practice in safe and productive way. 216 offers classes for all levels of experience, in both heated and non-heated studios. YOGA 216 IS A COMMUNITY. Yoga 216 is a place for more than just exercise. Yoga 216 is where you can have a conversation with a fresh pressed juice in hand; where you can relax with friends and a cup of tea; and where you can discover a part of you that wants to come out and play. Each month we feature an asana that serves as a focus for each class, regardless of level, tying all of our students together; plus, we offer an ongoing sutra study to enliven the mind and to deepen our practice. We also offer additional wellness services that complement a healthy lifestyle. The same teachers, with whom you’ll work in the yoga studio, offer Acupuncture and Massage therapy – all in an effort to make Yoga 216 a welcome respite from our beloved, but intense city.
