Overview

Yelloh Moose is an online magazine aimed at improving Asian and Asian American/Pacific Islander representation in art and media among the youth. The AAPI identity and story has endured the under-representation and belittlement of mainstream American media since its inception. However, the past few years have given rise to a new wave of empowerment—with groundbreaking films like Crazy Rich Asians and internationally acclaimed artists like BTS. Yelloh Moose aims to channel this energy and perspective towards the youth. We can not let this be a trend; it is imperative that we continue to support and bolster AAPI presence in the arts. We have proven and will continue to prove that our voices—our stories—matter. Our team of writers consistently produces articles on topics pertaining to Asian/AAPI media, arts, culture, and identity. Additionally, we spotlight young artists and creators on our "Artistry" page, which showcases a variety of incredible work, ranging from painting to poetry to prose. To apply to become a writer for Yelloh Moose, please visit the "Join Us" page for the form link. The links to submit art or submit an individual article can be found on that page as well.
