X2 Innovation Center

Overview

X2 Innovation Center is a national level Innovation Center to accelerate the transformation of the Norwegian economy. Facing a structurally declining Oil & Gas industry, Norwegian companies are looking to accelerate the launch of new growth ventures beyond their current core business. X2 runs Corporate Accelerator Programs (Sprint, Bootcamp, Accelerate) to help established companies launch radical new growth ventures in days rather than months. Brings lean startup, fastworks and customer development to large companies to explore new growth in clean tech, smart cities, asteroid mining, digital health, the solar revolution, drones, subsea mining and more. Connects startups and corporates to multiply acceleration across companies, cultures and business models. X2 Innovation Center builds new networks and innovation clusters around emerging business opportunities. This includes identifying "unlikely partners" in new markets, new technology partners, research bodies and new financing options. Most importantly, helps New Ventures Teams and Corporate Business Development Managers accelerate their learning and business model innovation process. Executive feedback: "Bootcamp was a game-changer" (Smart buildings) "More than we could ever have dreamt of" (EV-charging) "This can change our entire corporate innovation culture" (Solar energy) "In 3 1/2 days we did what normally would take us six months" (Solar energy) X2 counts a 18-people strong Corporate Advisory Board, connecting national government, experienced executives, startups and financing bodies. Founding Partners include Aibel, Delfi Data, SR-Bank, Lyse and Kverneland Group. Rogaland Fylkeskommune is key financing partner.
