Mercurio-Exhibits is a private consultancy owned by Franck Mercurio, a curator, exhibition developer, writer and editor based in Chicago. What I do as a curator: - develop, organize and manage exhibitions for cultural institutions - curate exhibitions on contemporary art, architecture, and design (often emphasizing their relationships to the natural environment) - develop public programs; speak about art and design-related topics What I do as an exhibition consultant: - collaborate with subject specialists to develop content for exhibitions - advise cultural institutions on best exhibition practices and master plans - recommends tailored promotional strategies to independent artists What I do as a writer and editor: - specialize in exhibition label text, press materials, and website content - write critical essays and reviews of museum exhibitions - edit articles for arts and museum-related publications
