Welcome to WHO Global Service Centre Malaysia! In 2008, WHO decided to create the Global Service Centre (GSC), a global off shore centre that provides administrative services to all WHO offices worldwide in the areas of human resources, procurement, finance. It plays a key role in helping WHO deliver its global health mandate and implement its programmes in a timely and cost effective manner. The centre was officially opened on 23 November 2009 by WHO Director-General Dr Margaret Chan in the presence of Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. The GSC is situated in Cyberjaya, known as the intelligent city in the Multimedia Super Corridor which lies 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur. It forms a key part of the Multimedia Super Corridor and aspires to be known as the Silicon Valley of Malaysia. Career opportunities at WHO GSC, Malaysia. Global Human Resources operations include all contract related actions and entitlements/benefits administration Global Procurement and Logistics operations include all contract related actions and shipping arrangement for all procured Goods Global Finance operations include processing and accounting services for payroll, pension, accounts payable, travel and expenses and financial transactions. Global IT Operations include Global Service Desk, ERP support, Software Development and Support, Infrastructure and Network Operations. Mission Statement The mission of WHO Global Service Centre is to deliver agreed quality and responsive services to customers in WHO and Partner Entities in the area of Human Resources, Finance and Procurement, to enable them to implement their programmes timely and cost effectively; and to Staff, to ensure their contracts, salaries and entitlements are administered timely and appropriately. GSC helps WHO effectively deliver its global health mandate and sustain a working environment in GSC condusive to achieving the highest work standards and job satisfaction.
