Overview
Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) is a non-profit, coed organization associated with Queen’s University Engineering Society and Alma Mater Society that promotes the education of women in the science and engineering disciplines. We are able to achieve this mandate through community stewardship and events designed to support current female undergraduate students in realizing excellence in their field of interest. As women have traditionally formed a minority in many areas of science and engineering, it is essential to inspire and promote a sense of community for current students, as well as for young women who are considering related degrees and careers for their future. We form a network of students with a common interest in advocating for women in these challenging and dynamic fields.
