The WIN Institute for Gender studies is the region’s foremost learning community for women. Its primary focus is on women leadership and gender management capacity solutions. The WIGS is platform which provides women with unparallel opportunity to unleash their potentials in management and leadership of organizations and public systems. We design open enrolment programmes for women of West Africa drilling them through rigorous curriculum practically underpinned with experiential case studies, field visits and tourism. Gender is neither synonymous with women nor is it a zero-sum game implying loss for men. It only refers to both men and women, and their status, relative to each other interestingly, the work of advancing gender equality around the world has converge around three closely interconnected areas; strengthening women’s economic capacity, promoting women’s leaderships and political participation, eliminating violence against women and supporting the implementation of the convention on the elimination of discrimination against women
