Wilderness Therapy Retreats, LLC assists people by helping incorporate the beauty and serenity of nature into the process of discovery with individual or group intentional goals. Our company exists to help people achieve meaningful change by utilizing an outdoor environment that allows you to re-discover and nurture joy, peace and purpose in your daily life. We believe nature helps build deep foundations that support healthy and sustainable, lives. Our programs are set across different outdoor locations throughout the United States. Many programs are locally based around DFW and others utilize iconic forested locations near State and National Parks throughout the U.S. The mental and physical benefits of being in nature are abundant and evidence-based. Our programs range from back country hiking and primitive camping all the way to more modern glamping accommodations. When you get away from the noise and distractions of our modern world, you become unencumbered and able to engage in a process of personal discovery and introspection to find clarity and direction in your life. You'll be led by licensed, caring clinicians and professional field staff, you'll receive personalized guidance to help ensure the best experience available. Our group experiences are incredibly supportive and the team building that happens leaves everyone feeling like family. Science tells us that nature aides in lowering stress hormones and blood pressure and increases our immunity, creativity, focus, productivity and so much more. Experiences include silent hikes, gratitude wanders, wanders with your inner critic, meditation in nature, mindfulness through the ancient art of fly fishing, we even talk to trees, lots of sharing and bonding around the campfire and more.
