Built in 1922 by noted theatre architect John Eberson, it was the first atmospheric theatre in the United States. The Orpheum Theatre has withstood the test of time and is the center for performing arts in downtown Wichita. With a full capacity of 1,286, the Orpheum offers a unique, intimate setting for the best in world-class entertainment. The historic theatre also serves as a community asset by featuring local performances, classic an indie film screenings, special events and more. Operating as a non-profit and managed by ASM Global.
