Overview

Nonprofit based in British Columbia, Canada, with a mandate to democratize evidence-driven health and science knowledge. Our organization’s primary activities are the Whole Human Summit events, consulting, and the delivery of community, research and advocacy projects. As an organization, we are aligned with the UN Global Goals for Sustainment as a guiding framework. Specifically, we focus on local delivery of UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 17. We aim to break down misconceptions and myths and we aim to inform, educate, and advocate. We embrace the whole human approach to health and bring our creativity and expertise to our work. Our core values are to share evidence-based insights and experiences that empower people to better navigate their personal health. We respect the diversity of human experience and believe in cross-sectoral and multi-disciplinary approaches to health problem-solving and as such, aim to create opportunities to exchange knowledge in ways that are accessible and inclusive. Whole Human Summit is a unique conference experience. Summit sessions are expert-informed, encouraging, and empowering explorations into the barriers in health, with a focus on solution-building. Our goals are to empower people to create change collectively, to better navigate their health, and to create opportunities for thought leaders to connect and build solutions that remove barriers in health. We are a diverse group of leaders and emerging leaders with a range of experience spanning the academic, innovation, healthcare, marketing, communications, design and technology fields. Our team includes a working board of directors, advisors, students and freelance contractors that help to develop and produce whole human projects.
