Overview

Our aim is for everyone with a mental health problem to have support and respect. In the current times, so many people are struggling with their mental health and the need for our services has never been greater. Our independent local charity provides support, offers specialist training, and campaigns for better services in West Sussex. We support young people, adults, older adults, carers and families affected by mental health problems. A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is fundamental to our charity and we aim for everyone who comes to us to feel welcome and confident about being themselves. To promote equality of access to our services, we reach out to those who need us most. This can include people living in deprived areas, children and young people and BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) people. We also seek to develop new partnerships with community organisations and groups to reach individuals who may not be seeking our support, to listen and to change our services. We see a need in our community and we adapt to meet it where we can. For example, we now have Ukrainian-speaking support available in addition to our Polish resources and translated web pages. Anyone seeking support can contact our Help Point, Mon-Fri, 10am-4pm: 0300 030 5652 or email helppoint@westsussexmind.org org.
