Overview
The Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD), the largest urban community college district in Michigan, is a multi-campus district with six campus locations with several specialty centers, including the Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center, the Michigan Institute for Public Safety Education (MIPSE), and the Heinz C. Prechter Educational and Performing Arts Center. WCCCD serves nearly 60,000 credit and non-credit students annually across 32 cities and townships, and more than 500 square miles. WCCCD is an established leader of workforce development programs and is home to more than 120 academic degree and certificate programs, dual enrollment programs and a range of continuing education programs that engage and enrich the lives of tens of thousands every year. WCCCD is committed to the continued development of new programs, workforce transformation, hosting community-based training sessions and improving student facilities and services.
