Gilliane invites you in her imagination, charged with emotion and sensitivity, where the glances, expressions, faces and bodies that she reproduces seek to captivate, question and challenge... Impulsive gestures, differing textures, light, and the choice of intense, explosive colours punctuate her work, overflowing with energy and femininity in the image of the woman, the mother and the nurse that she is. Her work explores different dimensions approached instinctively, part of a freely evolving process influenced by her interactions, her experiences and her inspirations. My models radiate powerful emotions and expressions that captivate, seize and challenge the onlooker. Portraiture is my favourite genre. Faces fascinate me. They are the physical reflection of our inner being. Through the techniques and colours used, I endeavour to suggest the emotions, feelings and thoughts of my subjects rendering my works the as human, expressive and interactive as possible. Each of my paintings has a symbolic name evoked by the first emotion I felt when I met my models. I transfer my energy to them, my deep impulses and my sensibility.
