Overview

The WARN Database is a collection of mass layoff notices submitted by large employers in the United States, as required by the federal WARN Act. States make these notices public information, but no entity tracks them at a national level. The WARN Database fills this gap, standardizing notices across the many states to create the only comprehensive dataset on worker layoffs in the U.S. All information is publicly available, just please make sure to cite the Database.
