Labolobo is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote intergenerational solidarity through cultural action and collective creation. We dream of a society where age is not a discriminating factor, where life experience is valued, where solidarity between ages is promoted, where everyone sees an interest in being in contact with other generations. Labolobo is a “Social Lab” bridging the urban age gap in creative and cross-cutting ways. This ground-breaking project is fighting isolation and age stereotyping through creative intergenerational exchange; at the same time, it’s promoting education that highlights empathy, respect and solidarity, involves the creation of shared public spaces, focusing on accessibility, visibility and participative creativity, all aimed at bringing people together in common action.
