The USGBC Orange County Community is a place where people involved in the many facets of green building, sustainability and the environment meet. From professionals in the many related fields to students interested in making the world a better place; and from real estate and development experts to sustainable coffee roasters, the Orange County USGBC Community is where people who are making Orange County a greener place to meet and innovate, learn and share their worlds. With over 2,000 LEED Accredited Professionals and Green Building Certifications in the range of 500 in Orange County, together, we are not only making Orange County a vibrant place to live, learn, work and play…we are making it a healthier, greener, more sustainable environment for current and future generations. The USGBC Orange County's mission is to engage all green building stakeholders to be the conduit of change for a more sustainable Orange County through innovative communication, education, resources and advocacy. Through our members, USGBC Orange County promotes the integration of the built and natural environments to foster sustainable, healthy, and prosperous communities. Recent History and Transition from Chapter to Integrated Chapter: USGBC Orange County is excited to be one of five USGBC chapters that joined USGBC National as integrated regions of USGBC national in November of 2016. We are now one of 22 integrated chapters across the United States. This transition comes as part of USGBC’s exciting chapter network evolution, which is piloting a new model for USGBC chapters and local market engagement.
