Overview
Several million people all over the world suffer from urinary retention. These people cannot urinate properly because of either a weak bladder muscle or a prostate enlargement. Unfortunately, there are no non-invasive solutions on the market for these patients. Besides surgical treatments, today’s approach is based on catheters. However, catheters are associated to a very high degree of discomfort, pain and urinary tract infections. URODEA provides the first non-invasive device that can empty the bladder. It is handheld, discreet and small enough to be carried in a pocket. It is only applied when the patient needs to go to the toilet. Its application is external, pain-free and eliminates the risk of urinary tract infections. With our device patients will improve their quality of life and regain their self-esteem.
