Overview

The uOttawa STEAM chapter is the first Canadian group to join the STEAM community of American universities in the creation of workshops, lectures, installations, discussions, and writing as student manifestations of STEAM principles. STEAM is a student-led effort to ignite communications between disparate fields in academia, business, and thought. Our focus is broad but our starting point is uniting the Arts (Visual Arts, Music, Theatre, Performance, etc.) with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). uOttawa STEAM will create opportunities for students from different areas of study to come together and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects of choice. -- Le chapitre uOttawa STIMA est le premier groupe canadien à rejoindre la communauté des universités Américaines STIMA dans la création d'ateliers, de discours, d'installations, de discussions, et d'écrits promouvant les principes de STIMA. STIMA est un effort de la part d'étudiants pour encourager la communication entre différents champs d'études, d'entreprise et de pensé. Notre orientation est assez vaste, mais notre point de départ est de rassembler les Arts (arts visuels, musique, théâtre, performance, etc.) avec les STIM (science, technologie, ingénierie, mathématiques). uOttawa STIMA créera des opportunités pour des étudiants de différent domaines d'études de se réunir et de coopérer dans des projets interdisciplinaire de choix.
