Overview

UniSC’s School of Science, Technology and Engineering (SSTE) is a vibrant community of researchers and educators making regional, national and international impact in traditional, environmental and computer sciences, ecology and engineering. SSTE operates across three campus locations: from Queensland’s beautiful Fraser Coast, through the Sunshine Coast and into Moreton Bay. SSTE includes specific research expertise in the areas of Smart Computing, Marine & Coastal Ecology, BioInnovation, Tropical Aquaculture, Eastern Grey Kangaroo Conservation, Pacific Islands Research, Global Change Ecology, Airport Pavement Research, Intelligent Systems & the Internet of Things, and Detection Dogs for Conservation – home of Bear the Koala detection dog. SSTE delivers progressive teaching and learning experiences, with Queensland’s newest Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering programs having debuted in Semester 1, 2020 at UniSC Moreton Bay, Australia’s first full-service campus to be built in 20 years. These new offerings are in addition to boutique and destination undergraduate courses including Animal Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental management, Civil and Mechanical Engineering and traditional sciences. SSTE’s postgraduate portfolio boasts supervision by world-leaders in a number of disciplines.
