UNIMA SA is an Arts-based social enterprise managed by a collection of wildly creative, passionate and lateral thinking people brought together to foster South African puppetry as a unique and alchemical method of driving transformation. Puppetry is our medium, with the power to unite across cultural, language and social divides. The UNIMA SA vision is to see outstanding puppetry arts used to create sustainable development and in the realization of human values such as integration, peace and mutual understanding. Working at the intersection of The Arts, Civil Society, Education and Business, we consistently innovate new applications for the medium of puppetry to meet identified needs and contribute to achieving the Millennium Development Goals of alleviating poverty.
