UniCap Securities Limited (UCSL) (former SES Company Limited), one of the pioneers in Capital Market, was established in October 9, 1995. UCSL has been carrying the legacy from Peregrine Capital Limited, a boutique equity firm which rooted from Hong Kong. However, in 1998 it was taken over from Peregrine Capital Limited and started working independently under some prominent Bangladeshi entrepreneur and corporate house ownership and management. UniCap Securities Limited is a TREC Holder in both Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange. It also has full Service Depository Participant DP of CDBL (Central Depository Bangladesh Limited). The company has reorganized its operations under a fresh management team during 2014/15 and has emerged as a leading player in stock broking. The company has maintained a stable rank of 7/8 in Dhaka Stock Exchange’s turnover based ranking scheme comprising of 250 stock brokers. UCSL’s market share has remained in the range ~1.5-2.0 % during much of 2014-15.
