The UN Youth Association of Romania is a non-governmental association, founded and led by youth. Its purpose is to promote and encourage UN values and activities among Romanian youth, society and international communities. In order to do so, the UN Youth Association of Romania (UNYAR) organizes simulations of international organizations, conferences, seminars, workshops, debates and so on. The main project of the association is the annual Bucharest International Model United Nations Conference (BISMUN), the biggest MUN-type conference in the entire country. The UN Youth Association of Romania was formerly known, up until May 2012, as BISMUN Association.
