Overview

It's remarkable to see the growth and transformation of Ultra Liquors over the past 30 years. Starting as a group of 12 neighbourhood liquor stores in 1986 and expanding to 81 stores across South Africa is a testament to the company's success and dedication to its customers. Remaining a privately held company shows a commitment to maintaining its values and principles. We have been rated by AC Nielsen as one of the top three retail liquor chains by volume in South Africa, enabling us to offer the most competitive pricing in the industry. We have also been awarded the PMR Africa Golden Arrow award in the national retailer's category, voted best liquor store in South Africa by the readers of The Star newspaper, and were awarded a certificate for being one of the top 300 companies in S.A. for our contribution to the growth in the economy and job creation by the DTI. The rebranding of the last Solly Kramer store as Ultra Liquors Express in 2021, along with the addition of Tabooz, reflects the company's adaptability and willingness to innovate to meet the evolving needs of its customers. The acquisition of Liberty Liquors by the Robinson Liquors in 2015 has further expanded the group's presence and offerings, with Liberty Liquors earning recognition as one of the top liquor stores in KwaZulu-Natal. Overall, it's clear that Ultra Liquors and its associated brands are dedicated to providing South African consumers and businesses with quality liquor products and excellent service. In this journey of progress, we aim to expand and excel. Our vision is set on higher volumes and soaring sales, but we embrace a higher purpose too. As a national retailer with a significant impact, we place the planet and people at the heart of every choice we make. Together, we are transforming the way we conduct business, building a brighter and more sustainable tomorrow.
