Overview

The International Labour Organization “estimates that there are 20.9 million victims of human trafficking globally, and 4.5 million of those are trapped in the sex trafficking industry.” Texas alone is home to 79,000 youth victims of sex trafficking, and The National Human Trafficking Hotline receives more calls from Texas than any other state. So, why is an organization dedicated to ending sex trafficking and exploitation needed in the Brazos Valley? The answer is simple – it happens here! Surrounded by cities like Houston, Austin, Waco, San Antonio, and Dallas, the Brazos Valley falls where traffickers feel they can be “hidden in plain sight.” This mindset has led to thousands of innocent men, women, and children being trafficked right under our noses. Our passion for ending this horrific tragedy is immense, which is why we created a brand new organization focused on educating, empowering, and advocating for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in the Brazos Valley. Programs and Services: - Local advocacy for survivors of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation - Educational presentations and trainings - Awareness programs and campaigns throughout communities - Local Human Trafficking Coalition - National and Community Resources and Referrals
