Turning Pointe was founded in Dubai in 1994 by Donna Dempsey, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) London, UK. As a classical ballet teacher, Donna ensured Turning Pointe established itself as one of the foremost ballet schools in the UAE, expanding over the next two decades to include all forms of dance into Turning Pointe’s curriculum by employing the best qualified teachers in different genres. Turning Pointe prides itself on welcoming both the student who works towards a professional career in dance as well as those who dance purely for the joy of it and the benefits it brings to everyday life. The training the students receive at Turning Pointe produces self-confident and educated dancers, by focusing on their individual development.
