Overview

Research and teaching at our institute is dedicated to practical problems. The aim is to improve tunnel design and construction with respect to safety, costs and durability. Our main fields of research comprise the topics of Hard Soil / Soft Rock, Rock Anisotropy, Urban Tunnelling and Mass Movements. Througout our research we utilize tools, such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, BIG DATA Management and Building Information Modelling.
