-| Tridentum - Debating Team was founded in 2021 by a group of students from the University of Trento who, united by a common passion for debate, decided to set up one of Italy's first university debating unions. -| We meet on a regular basis to debate topics of various kinds and levels, both in Italian and English, according to a defined format. We organise and participate in local and national debating competitions and events involving students of the University of Trento. -| Who are we? We are young men and women who come from very different backgrounds, with very different cultural and experiential heritage, with an extremely varied school and university education, who have decided to come together and organise in a common association. We believe that the love of dialogue and peaceful confrontation can unite people and iron out disagreements; this was also the case for us, who, in the early stages of our associative life (spring 2021), were able to bridge not only the cultural but also the physical distance, coming together in our common passion and creating an active community. We believe that this important tool, debate, is the seed of our modern democracies, as there is no freedom without critical debate. We believe it is essential to raise the awareness of the student and communities to the practice of debate, also by experimenting with methodologies aimed at reaching participatory decisions, nurturing a constructive dialogue between different realities.
