Overview

Organized in 2017, TSFF is a new film festival out of Metro-Detroit, USA made by and for queer people! We are a young organization but we hope to create lasting change in our community and the film industry by promoting the art of queer filmmakers. We seek films created by queer filmmakers, of any content, and provide a platform for exhibition of the very best. Our first annual festival will take place in September 2017 in Detroit. There are many film festivals for queer films, but few based around queer filmmakers themselves. By giving the opportunity to showcase talent, we increase awareness and diversity by showing we are more than our identities. We believe that ensuring that the filmmakers keep complete creative control over their projects promotes personal agency among all queer people.
