Overview

The TransManche Development Group is a non-profit, non-political & non-partisan organisation. As a cross Channel initiative, our objectifs are to improve transport, commerce and cultural links between Brittany, the UK and the Channel Islands, Jersey & Guernsey. The Channel is the busiest maritime corridor in the world. Our regions share the same concerns of security, maritime borders, fishing, pollution and carbon footprint, freight, and tourism routes. We feel that the best approach to dealing with post-Brexit issues, and indeed the COVID-19 situation, should be about helping each other. We are working towards a cleaner environment, we support good practice, and we aim to help maintain warm relations between the people of our regions. Recent events are creating new challenges to trade and regulatory relationships – but they are also creating new opportunities.
