The Tokyo Journal, founded in 1981, is the oldest English magazine from Japan sold internationally. The magazine is included as an in-flight magazine on airlines flying to and from four of Japan's international airports to various parts of the U.S. including Los Angeles, and it is in airport business lounges, hotel executive lounges, and international bookstores around the world. In 2017, Tokyo Journal received the Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Travel and Tourism’s Japan Travel Agency Commissioner’s Award for its efforts to promote tourism to Japan.
