Toastmasters International is a global organization that strives to enhance and cultivate individual communication and leadership skills. District 109 of Toastmasters is a "Smedley Distinguished District" that comprises 116 clubs (as of 30th June 2023) spanning across Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, San Marino, Slovenia, Switzerland, Tรผrkiye, and Vatican City. Each cluster of three to six clubs is overseen by an Area Director, who visits them and fosters connections with the District. Divisions are formed by combining three or more Areas. The Division Director leads the team of Area Directors in their Division, who report to the District Director. District 109 is comprised of eight Divisions as follows: - Division A โ Comprising Italy (San Marino, Vatican City), & Malta. - Division C โ Covering Switzerland (Basel, Bern, Luzern, and surrounding regions). - Division D โ Encompassing Switzerland (Geneva, Nyon, Lausanne, Neuchatel, and surrounding regions). - Division E โ Covering Switzerland (Zurich, Winterthur, Baden, and surrounding regions). - Division F โ Comprising Austria and Slovenia. - Division G โ Covering Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Israel. - Division H โ Covering Tรผrkiye.
