Thought & Process is the practice of independent, Brisbane-based Graphic & Digital Designer Matt James. I help businesses of all sizes define and communicate their vision, values & difference. I believe smart design adds value to business. It can deliver your message. Change minds. Persuade. It will make something easier to use, more fun. It can be beautiful and evoke emotion. It can set you apart. By using a creative, intelligent mix of Branding, Graphic Design for print and Web Design I deliver meaningful, relevant results that will engage your target audience. I approach each design challenge with curiosity and an open mind, making sure I understand your needs, and questioning them when appropriate. Working together is the key to achieving brilliant outcomes. I am fortunate to work with a broad range of clients – big and small – including arts organisations, charities, corporates, universities, hospitality, medicos, recruitment and technology firms. The diversity inspires me. It keeps my work interesting. It enables me to appreciate how design will add value to business. In addition to my design practice I am an active member of the design and education community. I am professional member of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA), and a former AGDA Queensland Councillor. I also lecture Communication Design at Billy Blue College of Design in Brisbane. Working with young designers keeps me on my toes.
